NYC alone for 4 days what should I do?

Never been and really want to check things out. All I’ve got so far is
- Go to the met
- Walk around
- Buy clothes
- Probably a club
Also would it be smart to stay in the city? I want to check out queens and Brooklyn for sure but I don’t know if I should stay there
