Is it a limitation of the engine that a person can't both be writhing in pain while on fire and with a limb blown off? The grenade landed right at his feet.

And why does a gib cause an instant-death anyway? Is it to prevent inflicting PTSD upon us? I'm pretty sure your death screams would do that more than any death animation without limbs could.
Is it just merely a limitation of the engine? If so, I understand, but if not, I thought you weren't going to hold back from showing the grim, gruesome realities of war. A lost limb doesn't = immediate death or blackout. Even a 3 second wiggle without an arm or a leg (and the other arm covering the missing arm maybe?) would bring this game a little more to life.
This game isn't marketed to kids or teens, so please don't censor it for us adults.
I really want the Dev Team to realize that we aren't children who can't bear the sight of blood. I'm not saying go DOOM like by having gallons of blood everywhere, but you have to bring more life to the lifeless (or about to be lifeless) soldiers.
And if you can't do it, at least recognize the want for it and say that you can't do it.
Edit: I think the tripwire mine death is the prime example here. Why isn't the soldier clutching for his leg?
