Question for those who understand power and treatment times
Post Body

Hey all,

I think this may be a simple question, but could anyone who understands studies that quote usage interpret this? I have the blue light so shoot with questions regarding that or anything else.

Thank you

Thank you

Yes and no, we’ve used blue light mostly. Only red sometimes

Thank you for such an informative response. Does it help if I post the specs of my current light?

1) 35 pcs 3w (660nm/850nm) led chips 2) Spectrum: 850:660 or Customize 3) Dimming: 10%/50%/75%/100% 4) Pulse function: 10Hz, 40Hz, 100Hz, 1000Hz 5) Light denisty: 216mW/cm² @3inches 6) Actual power: 37.5W 7) Input voltage: 12V/5A, power adapter 8 )LensAngle:30°

I did ask chat gpt as someone else mentioned, and essentially it said I could achieve the same results of the study by using 100% dimming and 1000Hz pulse for 3 minutes within 3 inches. Though I’m taking that with a grain of salt. You seem to have experience with these.

Great question. This is specific to keloid scarring, to which is much more difficult to treat.

Both? I suppose I’d want to start with the study. I’m not sure of any other successful treatment’s of scarring to reference that would help inform.

First off, thank you so much for digging into this. I’m super appreciative of your responses and generosity with your time. Second, so I think what you’re saying is my light, on full blast 😅 (100% dimming, 1000% pulse), is fine, but should probably use a protective cloth. ALA appears to be aminolevulinic acid

1 question - how long should my sessions be / how often?

The device I have was customized. I believe the specs came from the original box/container and not so much the light. I’ve confirmed with the manufacturer (Shenzhen) that it’s 430 nm
