Using "/s" or similar tone indicators is a cancer on society and is gonna cause the collapse of humanity

My problem with tone indicators is that it's only used by exceptionally unfunny or unkind people.
It's self-selects for people who feel like pointing out that they're being assholes makes it okay or that inserting dollar store quips into everything is a good replacement for intelligence or personality.
