The general consensus among the people I have talked to has been following: A rather bigger island 20 to 100 acres, to cater to all the different ideas and to give somewhat more space on the island to the occupants. The neighborhood of the island, both nature and political(/legal) wise is really important. The island itself shouldn't cost much more than 660k, because of the trouble with fundraising and inherent cost associated with developing it. There has been lots of talk in chatroom over infrastructure and building options, legal side and the benefits and cons of different islands. The contributing members will definitely be involved in the later stages, and have shown us all how things can be done. There have been offers for marketing proposals and all kinds of professionals who have given their contacts.

The draft bylaw for the non-profit organization as it seems the best opportunity at the moment shall be dealt with as soon as enough overview has been gathered on the mission statement, most likely in the near week or so. For that we shall ask for donations on a trusted redditors/moderators Paypal account, so they could get the legal advice and deal with the registration. The amount of money needed is projected to be around 600-800$. This may be subject to change. The remaining fund will be transferred to the org account. The time needed to complete the registration process shouldn't be more than a month.
The Reddit Radio has offered us free advertisement and a talk with moderator, we shall take it up in the near future, once there is a official mission statement and donating link in place.
