Quick question about streaming MUTV

Just downloaded and subscribed MUTV, while watching on my phone I want to stream it on my TV it loads looking for something to cast on, while I have a TV that I can stream to no problem with other apps I'm wondering why this doesn't work, I checked online and it says it connects to any Chromecast connected tv. Is there anyway to stream it without Chromecast? Don't have it and would rather not just for this app.
