Andre Marriner - Refereed Leicester vs Chelsea Saturday, and was VAR for United on the weekend. One of these was a straight red, the other wasn't even a card. There's no agenda, just ineptitude, and inconsistency.

If people want to maintain that Casemiro's card was a red, that's fine, I'm sure we can accept that even begrudgingly. The issue is the clear inconsistency by referees from game to game.

The controversial thing here is really not whether not the thing was a red. Sure people can debate on it, and you can pick your side.

The controversial thing is in this instance the same referee made a number of calls in a game on Saturday for bad fouls that didn't see any cards, then on Sunday as VAR recommended the on field official watch the challenges again because he thought it was worthy of a red.

If Marriner carded the players in the Leicester/Chelsea game, you could at least say "well.. i dont agree but at least he's consistent".
