Is Read Dead Online worth getting this late into its life cycle?

I really enjoyed RDR1 Online back in the 360 days and was wondering if RDR2 Online is any good and worth getting into? I have heard a lot about Rockstar not really supporting it much anymore and it's kind've dead, but I'm really not sure how true that is. Any RDO players that can give me any info or tips on this?
