The detail in RDR2 makes playing it rewarding even 1 year after release. I beat story last year but I still mess around when I feel like it. Last night I was playing and Arthur was in camp at dusk. All was quiet, the only sounds crackling campfires and some birds. Then I heard Javier playing "My Darling Clementine" on his guitar. Not singing, just playing. I stopped and listened as the sky turned colorful with sunset, then dark. The stars came out and I felt so peaceful and my heart was really full.
In a different vein, during the next in-game day I heard a stranger calling for help, that wolves were after him. I went off trail to find him--I found two wolves but didn't see anyone. I killed both wolves just in case and searched for anyone, dead or alive, but couldn't find anyone. Just me, my horse, and 2 dead wolves. Maybe I heard a ghost... could have been a glitch of course. But ghosts are more interesting. ;)
I'd love to hear about your favorite small moments too.
