PC: How well does RDR2 utilize GPU?

I'm wondering on whether I should buy the game at the current moment, or wait until I buy a better processor on Cyber Monday. I currently have a GTX 1070 and Ryzen 7 1700, and was wondering how well the game would be able to utilize my GPU since my CPU isn't the absolute best at running massive games.
Would the game mostly run off of my processor, or my GPU? I've heard from one post that it barely uses the GPU at all, so I'd like to hear more.
