To all the new boahs joining us today...

• Holding start will immediately bring up your map, instead of clicking start > map

• Online - You can bypass level requirements with gold bars. Fishing lures are only 1 gold bar and are a good investment.

• Online - Take your time in the Character Creator. Mess with the complexions and skin options to make your boah or gurl meet your cowboy standards.

• Online - While lasso’ing everyone in sight is fun, focusing on those few story missions will make you serious bank and help you get started.

• In singleplayer, there is a very nice and one of the best stat-wise horse roaming around Lake Isabella. If you calm it and break it, it’s yours forever. EDIT: -Lasso’ing the horse makes it very easy to calm and then mount. (thanks AlterPhoenix729!)

• Provisions are for health/stamina/dead eye CORES, while tonics are for the actual health/stamina/dead eye bar.

• On PS4, you can hold circle to exit out of the menu completely, and holding options will bring up a full view of the map. (thanks LUnacy45!)

• Manually save! Manually save! Manually save! This game has chapters, so not only is it nice to be able to go explore/enjoy old chapters, but you don’t want to lose any progress due to a poorly timed autosave!

• Going into cinematic mode (holding select button, same button you use to switch perspectives) will work as a cruise control. Your horse will follow the roads/waypoint while you kick back and scroll through reddit. (thanks JadedOlive!)

• Online - Persistent posses aren’t worth the money unless you have a group of 7 you’re playing with. A temporary posse lasts until you leave the lobby, has all the same perks, and is free.
