People have been speculating about a red dead redemption 3 since rdr2 came out, but I have come to realise that we don't need a third redemption, we've seen the story of Dutch, John and the gang, any prequel to rdr2 won't work if it involves the van der linde gang as RDR2 starts immediately after the Blackwater heist, so playing as Mac or Davey ain't really an option.
I have an idea of some plots that could be used in a new red dead game:
It could be set either in Canada or Australia, explore the world of outlaws outside of the US, or else it could just stay in America but just throwing ideas around.
Your character was in a gang, one of the most powerful around, but you get framed for betraying them after someone important gets killed, you're not killed but you get kicked out but you also lose an eye, so you're new goal is to form a new gang, travelling around the country, finding people, committing crime after crime to make a name for yourself, then you have a run in with the gang you used to run with as you and the leader of said gang become rivals, fighting for scores, fighting for power and influence.
(This is really just a rough summary, could use some refinement but I hope y'all understand it), essentially I'm trying to insert the aspect of gang rivalry, like Colm and Dutch had, with the idea of forging your own path and claiming your stake on the world of outlaws. Kind of like a half Choose your own adventure story and a half fully structured story.
I came up with a few titles but the one that stuck out to me was Red Dead Ascent/Ascension, as it entails your rise as a notorious outlaw, leading a gang, holding all the cards.
I'd love to hear y'all ideas for a new game also, I'm sure there will be some better than mine but I'm not too concerned about that
