Mostly looking at RD2 where he was only mostly a raving lunatic and not RD1 where he was a raving lunatic.

We all know Dutch is intelligent. He proves this quite often. Sure, it all went to hell but look at what he accomplished before that happened. Stupid people don’t accomplish feats like that. (exception of John of course)

My question is this; is Dutch as educated as he comes across or is that all part of his con-man persona?

From what I can tell he only seems to read from one author, he only listens to the one phonograph tune but he centralizes his identity around these things. Is he as smart as he seems to want people to think?
