Red a dead 1/2 theory

So, fun theory I had while playing Red Dead Redemption 2 today. In the first Red Dead Redemption, Jack Marston eventually turns to a gunslinger's life to hunt down the federal agent (Ross) who manipulated then killed his father John. But it only took him 3 years to become a quick drawing, lead pumping, ruthless gunslinger. Now, while I understand that blinding revenge can lead to great focus on your goal, that's still a short amount of time to turn a kid who'd never really shot a gun into a pro. We also have no real idea of what happened in those three years... Enter my theory: Sadie Adler taught him. One thing we do know from RDR2 is that Sadie Adler was one of the best guns in the Van Der Linde gang by the end of her time with them. She went on to become a very apt Bounty hunter afterwards and was still alive at the end of 2. She cared dearly for John, Jack, and Abigail Marston. If she had been made aware of the news that John had been killed, she may have seeked out what happened to Jack. Or he may have seeked her out. Either way, I think it would canonically make sense that during those 3 years that Sadie trained Jack, unaware that he'd use the skills to exact revenge. It makes more sense that an accomplished bounty hunter would train him over those 3 years as opposed to Jack just learning how to track down people, duel, and be a sharpshooter all on his own. Anyone else think this is a good theory?
