Worst game save system possible?

This game has the worst save system that I've ever seen... Autosaves are so rare and write over themselves that there is no point in them existing. One of the ONLY times that they are useful is when you die and in this instance the game decides to create a save AFTER your death.

There's no hotkey for saving and the process to do it is so long and arduous that I will only rarely manually save. This is made more painful by the fact that you can't manually save if you're in missions. Seriously, who came up with this godawful system? End of rant
