Company: GQR Global Market
Position: Global Talent Acquisition – Analyst [entry level/remote]
Earlier this week, I talked to their hiring staff and I was informed that the base salary for this position would be $40,000. I did not really give a response to that since the phone call was just me inquiring about the positions they have; It was not an actual interview (although it felt like it, just a tad). Anyway, considering that this position is remote, and that that alone can be considered a benefit, I still feel uneasy about the base pay. Granted, I did not get a job offer yet and nothing is final. However, if I were to pursue this position, what do you think is fair base pay for an entry level recruiting job? I want to have ideas about what I can manage to negotiate based on your experience, knowledge, (and) pay if you are willing to share.
Part of why I feel uneasy is because I got paid more than this when I worked in the military (intel) and that I recently completed my undergrad studies with the highest honor, summa cum laude. Considering that, I feel as if a $40,000 base pay is low. What do you think is the right approach? I mean, I can walk away from this position but I wanted to hear others' insights and thoughts.
Military pays way more than public does.
I could never hope that I would be able to make the same amount as I did enlisted in the civilian world especially as a new graduate
