Interviewing for first time in over 20 years- what does it mean
Post Body

Hello. Iā€™m not sure if this is allowed. Iā€™ve been following awhile but never posted. I have been interviewing and donā€™t understand the process. In this particular instance: Iā€™ve had two interviews so far for a senior position. Iā€™ve spoken with HR and the VP. They have an internal but the VP and I really connected with our management style. My 30 min interview turned into an hour. A week later HR sends me a lovely emailā€¦ā€Hi my name! Hope your week is off to a great start. Do you have a few minutes to speak with me this week?ā€ I replied within the hour and they responded back within and hour with fme two options. One that afternoon and another the following morning. Both times would be the busiest part of my work day. So I sent back two times that COULD work within two hours of their original ask. (IE they asked for 430pm and 11am) and I could do before 4pm and after 1. I responded within 15 min. No response. Itā€™s now been a day a half; I have no idea what they want and my anxiety is keeping me on edge. Is this normal? If they wanted me to do another interview wouldnā€™t they just try and schedule me in email. I think if they were offering a job they would respond sooner in order to ā€œlock me inā€ but I really donā€™t understand the culture as I havenā€™t interviewed or looked for a job in 20 years. Iā€™ve always worked as a freelancer/consultant. Is this normal for HR? What could they want? Iā€™m being optimistic but again ā€¦anxiety. Any insight or words of wisdom/encouragement would be greatly appreciated .
