I lost my apprenticeship in November due to the company I worked for no longer being able to afford me and it’s been almost 6 months of trying to find a company to take me on but I’m getting constant rejection and I have no idea why, I have a professionally written Resume, I hand write and customise my Cover letters and I have a year in experience (which means I’m not useless on a job site) and I have a lot of tickets for EWPs and other licenses for job sites but still no where will take me on and I’m losing hope, I’m getting depressed and I’m having feelings like I’ve wasted a year of my life and that there’s no point in living because I’ve fucked it all up if I can’t just get a simple apprenticeship. I call places the morning after I apply to seem keen, I hand in resumes, I cold call businesses asking if they’re looking for apprentices but no luck. This recent rejection feels like the final nail in the coffin I genuinely might just decide to become homeless
Thank you for reading my mental breakdown
