I have been through 3 interviews across 2 months for a dream job of mine that's well within a reasonable goal. It's nothing too special, telemarketing but moral and fancy. My final interview was 1 week ago. It went incredible! The owner oohed and ahhed at my responses and everything seemed to be perfect. I did nothing that would have been a deal breaker. He said he would get back to me Monday, 2 days ago. Today I followed up and they said oh yeah, we picked someone else. I'm grateful I have a job that pays the absolute minimum, I can't afford food but I can afford rent. I'm absolutely devastated that I lost this job opportunity. I hope someone from here finally had a good day. This email included many compliments and the comment that it was a pleasure to meet with me. That's what hurt the most, if I'm so complimentable, why not hirable?
