I poke around in LinkedIn to keep my finger on the pulse of the job market.
I've been contacted by recruiters a few times now, for positions I am exceedingly qualified for. I've kinda evolved from a pure coder/designer at a senior level (Senior Systems Analyst) to a person that can, obviously, still do that... but my main focus these days is to help a team become compliant to their industry's standards while I mentor and direct more junior coders and designers. I'm more of a Team Tech Lead these days, than anything.
But what I've noticed is that while recruiters still routinely contact me, and I respond politely, willing to engage with them, I'm routinely ghosted. Why contact me at all if you don't want to follow up?
Damned glad I have a job. Things are very strange out there these days.
