Post Body

Laid off a year ago in tech. I’ve lost track of how many jobs I’ve applied to but I average 50-200 applications a week. I’ve I interviewed with 33 companies. Over half were just the first interview with a recruiter. Two positions they wanted to hire me but the company decided to close the position instead.

The feedback I’ve received has been: my resume and interviewing skills are great. I have a good long work history and experience. It’s just really competitive.

I’ve seen best results through networking and focusing in on jobs within 50 miles even if it’s a full remote position.

I post this to let others also struggling know they are not alone. You can do everything right and still not see a result yet.

Take care of yourself and take care of your health.
