Similar to what everybody else is posting, I interviewed with a group that seemed it would be an interesting place to work. They paid less than market but also offered some perks that made up for it, and really fit the flexibility I was looking for.
I went through four rounds of interviews, all of which went quite well. I was told the team was impressed every time. I didn't get a response for a good week and a half between the second and third, and I thought I was out of running. Then they came back and asked me to interview with the director of product, and I got a message back saying that they are seeing through the rest of the interviews but expect a decision y Friday. Come Friday, I get another email saying that I should expect a decision by Monday. That was two weeks ago, and my emails are left unread. I did friend the hiring manager on LinkedIn, and she accepted quickly.
Like the others, I feel like I've probably dodged a bullet. I have a job and while I don't love it, I expect that this isn't a better alternative.
Anyways, that's my ghosting story =)
