I finally managed to get accepted for a decently paying job after years of doing various odd jobs as side hustles mainly. This includes video editing, tutoring, and field service tech. I've never had a company or anything, I would normally just file my taxes through a standard 1040. I already accepted the offer and signed off on it and currently starting their background checks. One of the background check companies called and asked me about one of my side hustles, the field service tech. I called them back and explained how it worked, it was mainly me just making ends meet and not having an actual company, CPA, etc so there really isn't any documentation of it "officially". I even gave them the phone number of someone whose PC I built and troubleshooted. The woman on the call added all this to my case file notes but I got a pretty vague response regarding what happens afterwards with this.
I really can't afford to lose this job, especially when it hasn't even started yet. Am I freaking out too much already?
