The term (from The Big Book) is insulting and AA is bullshit. I wouldn’t go so far as say it’s triggering but I’m super annoyed AA people feel like they can qualify who’s a real alcoholic and who isn’t. Plus I think the alcohol is ultimately the real problem more than the person. AA just seems like a pool of holier than thou bullshit and that’s why I always fucking hated going.
