Do you like when I type in caps? IT'S LIKE I'M YELLING IN YOUR FACE!!!
Anyways, I figured we could have a talk about unconventional lead generation.
I've been hosting weekly wine wednesdays with this meetup.com group that I started about 5 years ago. I just meet people and don't really bring up real estate unless they have questions for me. I'm not the douchebag wearing my brokerage nametag everywhere, it's about building relationships and sometimes business comes from that. With that said - I think I could do better. I see many of the same people coming out to my events but I never keep up with them outside of the events. Should I start a database and reach out to them one by one? I've been meaning to but haven't committed to it yet. I only recently started doing weekly events, before it was maybe once a month or so but now that I'm doing weekly events I'm getting like 50 people at each one and I know I gotta figure out best way to tap into that.
I also get leads from my website sometimes. I write a lot of blogs and usually get about 50 people a day on my site but it's amazing how many people never contact me from it. I try to do two call to actions every blog post but I know I could optimize it somehow. I'm paying a few thousand a year to maintain my site
Those are my main lead sources but I know I could do better with both of them. Would love to hear any ideas on how I could improve my effectiveness with my current sources of leads.
Also what do you do that's unconventional? I will not do cold calling, mostly work with buyers so open houses aren't too often, I also never pay for leads. What about you?
