Is this all juts lucid dreaming with extra steps ?

So I'm new to this idk if its a lack of belief it could work I hope it would but by listening to pll who shift its sounding like pll only shift while asleep or lucid dream to their dr bc their thinking about it alot ? Or maybe I'm stupid ?
