Why gay? Because I'm not beholden to the heteronormative concept of "I need to get married and have children by X age". Also because straight men are... to put it politely, difficult to communicate with.
Why single? Because there's only one thing worse than feeling alone - it's feeling alone while in a relationship. It's beyond sad and cringe to see these two and their relationship. They are so mismatched, it's truly painful to watch.
There is absolutely zero chance they don't end up divorced if Jessel starts getting paid good money from the show (I assume his financial situation was a big draw for her, she keeps mentioning it often)
I'd love to hear from women out there, how do you view the scenes between these two? Do they seem like a good match? Are all straight marriages this much work and this much struggle to agree on anything???
By comparison, Erin and her husband seem much MUCH more like a team and well matched.
