What percentage of your future tenants/people applying to rent a house have pets? Do tenants sneak in pets despite a no pets rule?

Post Body

Hi there, I'm wondering about what is in the title of the post. The property management company I'm using is saying 90-95% of their applicants/future tenants have pets, which seems like an extremely high number to me. This made me wonder what your experience with this was. I've stuck pretty firmly to the "no pets" policy as I'm out of state and this is my first unit. Also, I want to be sure it stays in good shape due to the horror stories I've heard plus the pet owner's houses I've seen (usually some combination of odors and tons of wear and tear).

Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide!
