Just took myself to see a movie alone for the first time to see RPO...

It was amazing! I'm disappointed none of my friends wanted to see it--their loss! But of course I had to get up to use the bathroom once...could someone fill me in?
I missed the part between when Wade meets Samantha in the real world up to when they see the typewriter in the Overlook Hotel. What happened?
