When i do an action in a specific screen and i refresh the other screens using usepubsub all the states are as they default values

Let’s say i have a screen that has a state status == 1 then i go to another screen then i do some actions then i need to refresh the previous screen using usePubsub, the status state is always the default value (1) even if i did change it to 2, i solved this issue using ref, is there any other solution bcz i feel like it not a good option if i have to use a ref of every state
