How do I use .env.production in a production build on android?

Edit: I am NOT using expo.

I’ve wasted several hours and haven’t found a single useful piece of information.

The only solution I can come up with is to make an entirely separate folder for the production version and just pull the latest changes into the production folder and make the build there, but…. That can’t be the best way lol.

On iOS there’s an info tab where you just select “release” and it uses a production environment so how the fuck do I do that with android?

Unbelievable how hard this is to find online considering how common it is to have dev staging and prod environments.
