The best dog, just very leash reactive, tried everything- medication? bark collar? Anyone have any advice or positive stories with meds or bark collar?

Breed: Aussiedoodle Age : 1 year 3 months and neutered

She is so leash reactive when we are out for walks, when we are in the car- she just barks and lunges but with her tail wagging. It’s hard to take her for walks or be around dogs she doesn’t know.

She goes to doggy day care and apparently she’s the best. It’s an off leash home like environment with other dogs.

However- whenever we are on leash, she is lunging, barking and we are unable to get her back to an optimal threshold.

We have worked with various trainers using every other type of technique— positive reinforcement, treats, martingale collar.

The thing is- she is the best dog when it’s humans and dogs she knows. When it’s unfamiliar terrain, she is anxious and on guard, barking and lunging, and quite honestly, freaking herself and other dogs/owners out. My arm is already fucked and it’s bananas trying to get her to calm down/ walking quickly past them.

I am wondering if I should get a bark collar for when we are in the car and on trails? Or if we should get medication?

Anyone have any tips or success stories?
