My 14 month old golden was attacked and now he's showing aggression towards other dogs
Post Body

My pup who used to be so confident and happy go lucky was attacked at the dog park last week. Another dog was sitting next to him and latched onto his ear and dragged him down and wouldn't let go. About 8-10 dogs rushed in and piled on top and it was pretty traumatic for me and my pup. The other dog's owner jumped in and tried to pry the dog's mouth open. After what seemed like an eternity, my pup was freed and was able to take off, dragging me with him. I walked away with a sprained wrist, a ton of bruises, and four puncture wounds on my arm, no idea which dog bit me in the mess. My dog's ear had some cuts and abrasions and the inside of his leg has some cuts and abrasions as well. He's been to the vet twice now for check-ups to make sure it's not infected and physically he's healing well. Emotionally, his reaction to seeing other dogs while on walks has been stressful and aggressive, really low aggressive growling and barking. The growling sounds vicious and is completely new after the attack. Does anyone have any experience rehabilitating their dogs after an attack? I'm so sad for him that he's not his usual friendly confident self.
