Post Body

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share some success that has happened lately in hopes it will help others. My dog is a 2 and a half year old Australian Cattle Dog. He is fear reactive towards humans and dogs. I’ve been working with him a lot the last 1.5 years. A little over a year ago if guests came over he would have to stay in his kennel. Now I can bring him out on a leash and in muzzle with him having minimum issues. People still can’t pet him while they are here. But he will sit next to me and relax now. He no longer barks and growls at guests when they are over. I can also walk him around the apartment on leash near our guests and he will pose no reaction. I only do this with guests who are comfortable though and understand his strict boundaries. He also recently is able to be fully unmuzzled and unleashed around a friend of ours after she has visited and stayed overnight a few times. This is just to remind people that our dogs aren’t bad dogs, and with guidance and support we can help them be less frightened of the world around them. So much love to this community and the hard work and emotional toll everyone here handles. You guys are doing great at doing good for your dogs. ❤️
