Kindly piss off! I appreciate her asking if her dog could play with mine but inching closer when I repeatedly said no was not cool. She also had a puppy and I wouldn’t want the poor guy to have a bad experience if she’s just going up to random people asking to play.
My dog is super friendly but she is also very leash reactive. Seeing that this was not a dog park our dogs would have to meet on lead which is not good for mine. My dog was otherwise displaying very playful energy but I wouldn’t want to risk traumatizing a poor baby. My dog is also an eager greeter lol she can be a little much when meeting other dogs on lead and I just rather not.
Also, I just rolled out of bed and honestly have not brushed my teeth haha so stay away!
I wish there was an etiquette taught among dog owners in puppy training. They should explain that even though your dog is friendly, that does not apply to all dogs. You probably shouldn’t assume that every dog wants to meet yours cause you might put your pup in a bad situation.
Anywho, I cannot wait until my dog’s “give us space” vests come! I’m sure this will still happen but then I won’t have to give an excuse while yelling no.
I so glad neighbors get it when I cross the street way ahead of them!
