Nitro Rustler clutch issue

Post Body

I own an older nitro Rustler, last time I posted about it, it chewed off the spur gear and burned through the slipper clutch friction pegs. I upgraded the spur gear to a steel one and replaced the pegs, it ran well for a while, after I ran it last time, it melted the pegs again. Let me preface this with the fact these new pags are garbage, I had some time today and replaced the pegs, adjusted the clutch to spec and expected the problem to go away, but when I fired it up again it is still accelerating uncontrollably. It picks up as soon as it turns on and it just goes nuts. Just wondering if anyone has run into this issue before and has a solution? I just wanna play with this thing and enjoy it but, it seems all I do is keep repairing this thing.

Thanks y'all in advance and happy Thanksgiving.

Edit: Finally got it back from the shop last week, I'd never have figured it out, it turns out it was a broken carb. Too much air was going in so it was like the throttle was permanently open and therefore going into uncontrolled acceleration. While in tje shop, I had them change the old broken heatsink and service the shocks, I can't wait for this year's first bash.

Happy new year everyone, hope it is a fun filled one with tons of RC adventures. No broken cars this year, only fun.
