I have been in the hobby for a few years, almost exclusively bashing. I got a Losi Mini T 2.0 for Xmas, and there is a racing club nearby. I am curious about other aspects of the hobby besides bashing.. Everyone there is very friendly, but it definitely seems like a time and financial commitment. (They require a transponder, which is about $100, track fees, etc.)
My friend said he tried racing but it was "too much for him" and he ended up settling into occasional "comp" crawling.
I'm interested to know if anyone has gotten into racing from bashing and what your experience with it was/is? Is it worth the additional time and money versus more casual bashing and crawling?
