2010 4WD 4Cyl Whining noise when accelerating

Apparently this is a common problem for ravs in this generation. The whining occurs for me between about 25-35mph. Whining ceases the second I let off the gas pedal. Whines immediately when I get back on the gas in between those speeds.
Is there a fix? Is it fine to just drive the car like this? Will driving like this affect the car’s longevity?
I should note the car is at 164k miles
