I want to do a mesh/pine combo job on my upland game bird/clay/skeet shotgun... And my rifle... and my ar... and my Hydroflask. Maybe even an xbox controller and of course some P-mags. Maybe even my car. Maybe not.
I cerakote'd it myself on a very low budget. Harbor Freight blast cabinet and spray gun. Magpul FDE with the high temp (read air dry) cerakote. I'll post the one or two pics of the cerakote job and then update as I rattlecan everything.
Colors will be prairie brush/edge of the woods themed as that's usually what I hunt in flat-ass Kansas. So tans and browns with a little green. Most of my guns are cerakote Magpul FDE already, and I don't care about paint flaking or wearing in too quick. The cerakote is for life, rattlecan is for a few months.
Also, fun tip. I color fill lettering/engraving with the acrylic enamel paint made to be baked onto dishes. When blasting my last cerakote project, the acrylic enamel held on long after everything else was way gone. I like to use it on FIRE/SAFE markings as well as logos. Kne of the kost beautiful ones was the FNUSA logo on my FNX40.
Stay tuned.
