When I think about battles like Tay Roc vs Geechi Gotti and Bigg K vs Ah Di Boom, two battles where one guy's first round was so strong and so memorable that it's almost weird to think that they rapped two more rounds after that, I wonder if it's possible for an opposing battler to overcome a round like that and take the next two (and the victory). I know battle rap is supposed to be scored round by round, but in some special cases, can exceptions be made?
In the case of Tay Roc vs Geechi Gotti, many people believe that Tay Roc made up the ground in rounds 2 and 3 and won the battle. In the case of Bigg K vs Ah Di Boom, however, many believe that Bigg K won the battle in the first round because his exposure of Ah Di Boom nullified any gangsta bars that he could've come with after the paperwork was revealed. In situations like the first one with Geechi, could it be that the battler himself can start to believe that their first round was so great and insurmountable that they slack on the following two and end up losing? Or, like in the case of Bigg K, can the strength of their first round resonate with audiences so much that it doesn't matter what they say in the following rounds?
