One of Gwitty's most recent battles, his battle against Blake Winters, is the latest example of how different his reception is on WGHTV compared to other platforms like RBE. Aside from Gwitty straight up acting different and being more aggressive against the much smaller names that he sees on WGHTV and stopping every other bar to scream out "it's SHNASTYYY," one thing that always stands out to me is how the crowd always acts like every bar Gwitty says is the hardest, most nuanced, most unforgettable bar they've ever heard in their lives.
I can admit that Gwitty has had some decent bars. He, like many other mid-to-lower tier battle rappers, has had some bars out of the ordinary that are actually surprisingly good. However, looking at his battle against Blake Winters, J Ownz, and others, it really seems like all gas to me.
Bars like "City told me this the coldest Winters ever and I told him to book it" against Blake Winters got treated like room shakers, and that's what I don't understand. Also, why is Gwitty having a 40 minute one-rounder in the first place?
Anyway, does anyone know why Gwitty gets treated like this at WGHTV? The rooms are much quieter when he's rapping at RBE.
