I love rap, all types of shit, rap is my favorite genre and I have listened to it my whole life. With age comes maturity and I can’t help but think how much of a disservice rap can be to all people especially young people for promoting bullshit. Especially in today’s music, although this isn’t new, a lot of guys are promoting robbing, shooting, pimping and other bullshit. My problem is not only the false authenticity of of it, but the message it puts out and glorifiying bullshit. Dam I sound like an old head, i’m only 22, but you can not convince me Lil tecca has or ever will shoot somebody. I’ve lived in a rough neighborhood, so I can understand this is the reality for a lot of ppl, but I cant understand once you’ve seen the devastation this type of shit brings that you can just promote doing it without a care in the world or like it’s cool. Telling a story and bragging about being hard with empty threats are two different things. The fact that a lot of rappers talk about this type of bullshit like it’s cool tells me a lot of these niggas have never even shot at nobody or they are just stupid. Thoughts?
