I've been a long time lurker of this subreddit, and I enjoy reading through all the posts.

I've also been following the Grumps on all socials, and I've been able to tolerate most of what they've posted, even if I think I feel like it's written by a 15 year old who's just discovered 'internet humour'.

But now trying to monetize a joke? Yeah that's where I draw the line. Running a joke into the ground with all the fake Uncle Cecil shit? Cool, I don't like it but whatever. Putting a book out under that same pretense? Sure whatever, again don't like it but at least a book requires some effort to produce and you can actually potentially gain something from it. Selling a shirt that not only is a cheap, lazy design, but will probably be snapped up by the morons who actually find that garbage funny? Yeeeeaaaahhhh naaaaaahhhh.

They wanna make shirts? Cool, hire some artists (something alin USED to be a big promoter for) to come up with some actual cool designs. This is cheap, lazy, and quite frankly, insulting to the people who were with the Grumps from the beginning.
