**HIPAA
my dad is a well known doctor in the city i live in.
when i was 16 (almost 19 now) i tried to kms and overdosed — having a stroke, a seizure, and a cardiac arrest. luckily, the only thing that was affected long term was my balance and coordination.
now here’s where things get a little sticky. i was put into a coma for 9 days, so no one knew it was intentional. my parents thought it was an accidental od, but no one but my doctors and my parents knew that drugs were involved. they didn’t want people to know abt the drugs bc of reputation, etc. which is something i have a separate opinion on, but whatever.
some of my dads partners took the liberty to just open my charts up and read thru them despite them NOT BEING MY DOCTORS.
so this past week, the affects of this have shown themselves again since i now have more drug related things noted in my charts, yet they still have been read recently (after my most recent hospitalization)
this is fucking lame and i don’t even know what to do anymore
edit: when i say shows themselves again, i mean that things were mentioned this week about my most recent hospitalization (not the one talked abt in this post) that again, only MY doctors should know
