I work for an auto insurance company. Today I spoke to a client who had moved states & her premium went up significantly. She told me her premiums should go down because they live in a gated, elite community in a 1.8 million house. When I told her premiums increase, she flipped. She thought because of her prestigious job title & owning her own company in addition to her credit score in the 800’s & her 1.8 million dollar home that she deserved a lower premium.
The insurance company gives absolutely no f’s. Premiums have less to do with you & your precious little lifestyle than you like to think. Multi-million dollar house? That’s going to cost more to fix or replace when your au paire burns down your house. Your luxury vehicles, no matter how loaded with safety feature will also make you a higher risk of loss.
Don’t treat customer service reps like crap. You don’t like it? Leave. You have the money, hire someone to shop insurance for you. Don’t rub your wealth in my face. I’m barely hanging on financially & mentally. I can barely afford my own car insurance & it’s a hell of a lot less than yours. I’m working a job that will likely cause me to have a heart attack or stroke because of how you people treat us. I work simply to keep a roof over my head & my utilities & groceries. But I make too much for assistance & my credit is shot. Be freaking grateful for what you have and don’t use it to try to manipulate the 99% to kiss your couture covered ass.
