Hey Rangers fans,
I noticed on CapFriendly that the Rangers are currently the only team with 21 players on their NHL roster. Every other team is carrying 22 or 23 guys. I was hoping that someone could shed some light on the situation and whether this is a temporary thing or not.
To save you a click, these are the 21 players:
Forwards (12):
Zibanejad, Hayes, Kreider, Zuccarello, Namestnikov, Strome, Vesey, Fast, Chytil, Andersson, Howden, Fogarty
Defensemen (7):
Shattenkirk, Staal, Skjei, Smith, Pionk, Deangelo, Claesson
Goalies (2):
Lundqvist, Tokarski
If that is correct, that means that you guys have no forwards sitting in the press box? You have the cap space (~$2.6M) to add another forward to the NHL roster... maybe Buchnevich is close to returning from injury so they're just waiting to activate him?
Cheers.
