Forgot my wallet at the grocery store, and kind lady paid for my WHOLE FRICKEN BILL
Post Body

I was floored and moved to tears. It was your classic story - me being a total airhead going to check out, frantically rummaging through my things and realized that I had forgotten my wallet. She noticed, and handed me a 20 dollar bill.

I was so moved. I offered to venmo her, and she said no! Insisted! And then I tried to only purchase one thing and she also insisted that I use the whole 20 for the whole bill, and was ready to give me more money if it was more (that is where I would have put my foot down, haha).

But.. what!! The grocery store that I was in was somewhat ratchet, and it didnt look like she was rolling in cash, so it meant even more that someone who may have really needed that 20 gave it to a complete airhead stranger who didnt deserve it. Obviously I shouldn't judge by appearances, and she could in fact be very rich, but I'm going to go with this assumption because it touched my heart, but either way it is amazing and moving.

So now I've made the commitment to myself that if I ever see someone who forgot their wallet or whatnot, I'm going to pay it forward! In addition, I'm also going to start a regular tipping habit at places where tips aren't expected (tip jars at Starbucks, etc). Finally, I've been meaning to start a habit of a monthly donation, and this helped me bite the bullet. I finally did it! No more excuses or, "when X happens, this will put me in a better position to start donating." I've started with a moderate amount and hope to increase it by a little bit just each month until I reach my goal!

Hope you lovelies are having a fantastic day. I should start reading this sub every morning instead of the news. Really sets your day right!
