Kind of an update to a previous post. I’ve had my truck at the dealer 3 times, currently right at 4000 total miles, for check engine light. They are now going to replace the diesel particulate filter (dpf). Not such a good start as a first-time Ram owner who has driven two previous GM products and two Ford products (all purchased new) all my previous trucks had zero issues, and were traded in or sold at over 100,000 miles. This is the first truck out of five purchased new, that I have ever had to have a warranty claim.

If he didn't cause issues in his other 4 trucks...you have to think maybe he isn't the problem. But this is the exact reason I went gas vs diesel on my last purchase.

I agree. I can also see as a consumer that most salesmen won't say "don't buy this unless you are going to run the piss out of it for long periods of time on a regular basis". The amount of money paid for a new truck should automatically equate to it being driven like every other regular truck on the road. I understand this sounds good in concept, but is not our current reality.
