God help me, Iām asking for opinions on Reddit - Lol. Between these two options, which would you take and why? I realize this is a Ram site, but if you got to pick between the F250 Tremor and a 2500, what considerations would you look at?
2024 Ram Laramie Megacab with the 6.7 @ $69,000
2024 Ford XLT Tremor CCSB with the 7.3 @ $65,000
I average about 26,000 miles per year.
I just went through this same process. I look very hard at both brands. I was even looking at the same XLT Ford with Tremor package, and man do they look great! They also have some pretty cool options. I ended up ordering a Ram. Why? The number one reason was Mark Dodge in Lake Charles (talk to Anthony). Their price and customer service were unbeatable. Lead time for the build was shown as 2.5-3.5 months. As of today, it's already made it through the initial order processing phase and already been officially scheduled. You may already have a Ford that is in stock at a dealership, but if you order it, expect at least a year lead time according to the two dealerships I talked to. I can't knock either of the trucks, but I've owned a couple of Ram 2500s previously and I was very satisfied with them both. Hope this helps.
