I’d just come inside after being called in to go to bed. I’m 17, so there should be no problem if I wanna grab a bite to eat before I sleep; there never usually is a problem with that.
I pop in a premade lasagna meal into the microwave oven and sit down in the living room to wait while it cooks.
My NPDdad comes in furious that id made lasagna instead of going to sleep immediately (for no reason). I calmly explain that I was hungry. He starts yelling and throwing a genuine fit. So I tell him I’ll just put it in the fridge once it’s done cooking instead of eating some of it.
Unshockingly this does not please him at all. He continues to throw the worlds largest fit, gaslight and twisting my words. Over lasagna.
Once the lasagna is finished cooking I put it in the fridge, walk down towards my room, and tell him to screw off. I enter my room and lock the door.
He flips out over this, stomps down the hall and rips my locked door unlocked; and then has another tantrum over the fact I told him to screw off.
I don’t regret anything, and boy is this going to make a great story when I’m older.
